Biography
Brian Baxter, a Nova Scotian, nurtured by the fresh water and forests where he lived, used creativity in his search for identity and expression. At 24, he moved to Vancouver with his then partner, Hugh, to continue his search.
There he used his graphic design training from NSCAD to forge a solo career as a commissioned architectural decorative glass artist. For 40 years, he installed glass pieces in residential, commercial, religious and public sites.
At the same time, he also continued his personal practice of life drawing, photography and creating artistic statements with glass and other materials.
Now, having moved to Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast of BC, he continues his journey creating with drawing, photography and assemblages.
